Shanna Kalage, APRN is dually board certificated as an Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner as well as an Adult-Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner where she is serving patients in the New Braunfels area.
Shanna Kalage was born in Connecticut and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University in 2007. She practiced as a RN, as a travel nurse in multiple specialty areas, including Cardiovascular ICU and eventually settled down in Houston, Texas. She completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing through the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2012. She moved to New Braunfels in 2013 and practiced as an APRN for 10 years in Internal Medicine. She has completed a Post-Graduate program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2022 in the specialty area of Acute Care and is now practicing in Nephrology within New Braunfels. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Craig, and their four young children. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, traveling, volleyball, softball, and ice cream.
