Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” Luna, MD, is pleased to be part of the dynamic team of kidney care specialists at San Antonio Kidney Disease Center Physicians Group. They serve south central Texas with outstanding medical care that’s focused on providing quality treatment in a patient-centered atmosphere.
Dr. Luna is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology and wholeheartedly embraces the team approach to health care. This means she includes the patient, their primary care physician, and her fellow specialists when necessary in designing the most effective, personalized treatment strategy for each patient.
She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston before completing her internship and residency in internal medicine, as well as nephrology fellowship, at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Luna also currently serves as an assistant professor at UT Health Science Center.
Patients can rely on Dr. Luna to use her training and expertise, as well as her heartfelt commitment to her work, to provide health care that encourages and supports the patient’s participation in the process.
