Wesley Calhoun, M.D. - San Antonio Kidney

Wesley Calhoun, MD is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. Dr. Calhoun, who has been with the San Antonio Kidney Disease Center Physicians Group since 2005, grew up in Chandler, Arizona.

He began his journey to becoming a doctor as an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Galveston, where he was on the Dean’s List and served as a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. He continued on at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston to earn his medical degree.

Upon graduation he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he completed an internal medicine internship, residency and fellowship at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. A major highlight of his five years at the school was serving as chief nephrology fellow.

When he isn’t practicing medicine, Dr. Calhoun enjoys spending time with his wife, Sara.
