Nephrologist Mohammed Ahmad, MD is devoted to serving the community of San Antonio. With a medical career that’s taken him across the world, Dr. Ahmad proudly joined the expert team at San Antonio Kidney Disease Center Physicians Group in 2015. He provides a full range of kidney disease services at their Northwest clinic.
Originally from Jordan, Dr. Ahmad completed his medical degree at Jordan University of Science and Technology. He worked for three years as an emergency physician at Arab Medical Center in Amman, Jordan before relocating to the United States.
Dr. Ahmad completed his residency training at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia, before heading southwest. He spent four years working as a hospitalist in Phoenix, then went on to pursue a fellowship in nephrology. He relocated once again to San Antonio, where he excelled and was named chief fellow in nephrology at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Fluent in English and Arabic and with basic Spanish skills, Dr. Ahmad easily communicates with patients of various cultural backgrounds. He’s board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology and licensed to practice in Texas.
When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Ahmad enjoys spending time with family, traveling, photography, cycling, and studying social sciences.
