Sayed Tabatabai, M.D.

One of the area’s leading nephrologists, Sayed Tabatabai, MD, has extensive training in all aspects of clinical nephrology and is proud to treat patients as a member of San Antonio Kidney Disease Center Physicians Group.

Dr. Tabatabai went through a combined six-year accelerated program for his undergraduate degree and medical program. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, followed by his medical degree from Albany Medical College.

After completing his residency training at Tufts in Boston, Dr. Tabatabai went on to finish his nephrology fellowship at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. To further his education and experience, Dr. Tabatabai stays up-to-date with his board certifications. He is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology through the American Board of Internal Medicine.

In his spare time, Dr. Tabatabai loves to travel, play guitar, and play the role of Darth Vader for the Star Wars Society of San Antonio for various charitable causes.

Dr. Tabatabai is affiliated with several facilities throughout the San Antonio area as a member of the San Antonio Kidney Disease Center. Dr. Tabatabai is currently accepting new patients who need preventive or ongoing nephrology care.
