Dr. Hector J. Diaz-Rodriguez is a renowned nephrologist at San Antonio Kidney Disease Center Physicians Group in San Antonio, Texas. As a leader in the field, Dr. Diaz-Rodriguez provides high-quality patient care that’s unmatched.
From his early undergraduate days to his time as Chief Fellow, Dr. Diaz-Rodriguez has an impressive background at the University of Puerto Rico. First, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Sciences at the Río Piedras Campus. He then attended the Medical Sciences Campus, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Medical Doctorate Program.
From here, Dr. Diaz-Rodriguez carried out his residency in Internal Medicine, becoming the Chief Resident in 2014. He then completed his Nephrology Fellowship as the Chief Fellow in 2016. Dr. Diaz-Rodriguez worked with Beaumont Kidney Specialist in Beaumont, Texas from 2016 to 2018 before moving to San Antonio.
Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology, Dr. Diaz-Rodriguez has the honor of being a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology. He continues to expand and enrich his field of expertise with various research publications and presentations under his belt, he continues his research pursuits today. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
As a bilingual physician, Dr. Diaz-Rodriguez is available to both Spanish and English speaking patients. His hobbies include traveling with his wife, cooking, watching films, and enjoying a good book.
