Amy Phillips is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in the care of patients with kidney disease. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 1996 where she developed an interest in critical care. As a Registered Nurse of over 26 years, her experience is professionally and geographically diverse. She spent her career working in a variety of environments such as telemetry, critical care, surgery, and chemical dependency in Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia. In 2018, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center -San Antonio. Later that year, Amy joined the team at Texas Transplant Institute and spent the next 3 years caring for kidney and pancreas transplant patients. In January 2022, Amy joined San Antonio Kidney and works closely with Dr. Roque Diaz-Wong to provide excellent comprehensive renal care in the Medical Center area.
Amy has professional membership in Texas Nurse Practitioner Association, Texas Nurses Association, and American Nurses Association. In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, working in the yard, and playing with her pets.
